My Journey to Coaching
How a career in creative leadership changed my life
Serving as a successful Creative Director and Product Designer for 20+ years taught me so much. Working for various Fortune 50 companies gave me insight into my strengths, passion, and the quickly changing landscape of the corporate world.
Now, I’m transitioning those insights, experience, and skills into a more robust area of impact: coaching.
After 300+ hours of extensive study, research and practice, I earned my coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, a leading program accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
Why this shift? Because the world is changing, so is the workforce. There’s ample evidence of that all around us. Rigid corporate cultures are slowly e evolving to meet people’s needs.
COVID-19 drastically shifted how society views work. Companies are reevaluating policies as employees more directly vocalize their needs. The workforce is developing more collaborative and inclusive models to sustain human capital. There is more focus now on individual purpose than ever before.
My mission is to help people rediscover their purpose. As a certified coach, I support people at both the individual and organizational levels in one-on-one or team environments.
Together, we build skills that promote adaptive resilience, dig into purpose and bring awareness to barriers that might be stifling progress.
Through the years, I’ve learned that leadership styles evolve, as does our creativity. It is my firm belief that each of us is inherently creative and that each of us leads. It’s not a question of if, but how. Coaching allows me to support people’s development in these areas, just as people supported mine.
Daily, we have opportunities to lead and be creative in our own lives in the choices we make, the relationships we develop, and how we choose to engage with ourselves and others. Each day presents a new opportunity to reshape and redefine that vision and reality.
I’m thrilled to be working at the intersection of consciousness and creativity to support growth-oriented thinking and empower people to create the workplace cultures they desire and lead the lives they want.
